A Stroll into the 19th Century along the Fayetteville Feeder Canal

Note: This event will be taking place in-person, outside.  Meet at CANAL LANDING PARK behind Freedom of Espresso, Limestone Plaza.
Join us for a walking tour guided by local author, Peter Svenson.  Peter will present the history of the Feeder Canal and it's importance to Fayetteville.  The tour will require about 2.5 miles of walking with several stops at historic sites.

Little ones and their caregivers are invited to join us for songs, rhymes, books, and baby sign language! After storytime we will bring out some toys and families are invited to play and socialize!

The activities in this program are designed for babies up to 18 months, however other ages are welcome to join.

Baby Storytime is a great way to introduce your baby to books, language, movement, and music! Storytime is also a great way to enjoy meaningful one-on-one interaction between you and your little one. Each week we will also introduce and practice some sign language you can use with your baby. Practicing sign language at a young age can help improve your child's language and communication skills.

American Fiction is a 2023 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Cord Jefferson, in his feature directorial debut. Based on the 2001 novel Erasure by Percival Everett, it follows a frustrated novelist-professor who writes an outlandish satire of stereotypical "Black" books, only for it to be mistaken by the liberal elite for serious literature and published to both high sales and critical praise. It stars Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Sterling K. Brown, John Ortiz, Erika Alexander, Leslie Uggams, Adam Brody, and Keith David.

Did you know? Songs are a great tool to help build your child's vocabulary and knowledge base!

We will practice clapping, keeping the beat, and playing basic instruments like shaker eggs and rhythm sticks to promote the development of gross and fine motor skills.

We will introduce early music concepts like dynamics (louds and softs) and tempo (fast and slow) in a way that kids ages 0-6 can benefit from and enjoy!
