We will practice clapping, keeping the beat, and playing basic instruments like shaker eggs and rhythm sticks to promote the development of gross and fine motor skills.
We will introduce early music concepts like dynamics (louds and softs) and tempo (fast and slow) in a way that kids ages 0-6 can benefit from and enjoy!

American Fiction is a 2023 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Cord Jefferson, in his feature directorial debut. Based on the 2001 novel Erasure by Percival Everett, it follows a frustrated novelist-professor who writes an outlandish satire of stereotypical "Black" books, only for it to be mistaken by the liberal elite for serious literature and published to both high sales and critical praise. It stars Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Sterling K. Brown, John Ortiz, Erika Alexander, Leslie Uggams, Adam Brody, and Keith David.

Join a group of other passionate teen writers to share ideas, find community, and get constructive feedback in the Teen Lounge. The Scribes start with a writing prompt weekly before moving on to individual and collaborative writing activities.
Don't forget to bring your computer, notebook and pencil, or whatever you prefer to write on.

Please note: The activities in this storytime are designed for children who have aged out of Baby Storytime, up to 3 years old. However, siblings of any age are welcome to join anytime!
Little ones and their caregivers are invited to join us for songs, rhymes, books, and baby sign language! After storytime we will bring out some toys and families are invited to play and socialize!
The activities in this program are designed for babies up to 18 months, however other ages are welcome to join.
Baby Storytime is a great way to introduce your baby to books, language, movement, and music! Storytime is also a great way to enjoy meaningful one-on-one interaction between you and your little one. Each week we will also introduce and practice some sign language you can use with your baby. Practicing sign language at a young age can help improve your child's language and communication skills.
Adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their mentors - join us to participate in a free karate introduction and demonstration, led by Rande Lawrence of Lawrence Karate School.
Participants should plan to wear comfortable clothing, and to participate barefoot.
Space is limited; please register. Mentors do not need to register.

Lawrence is a master karate instructor, holding the rank of 10th degree black
belt. He has practiced and taught martial arts for more than 55 years in the
Syracuse area. His
Karate school, Lawrence World Class Karate Dojo, has been in operation in the
Syracuse area since 1980. Master
Lawrence’s special talent is making Martial Arts accessible for students of all
abilities.

Recommended for kids in preschool and kindergarten, siblings also welcome.
